From cousins, aunts, sisters, nieces, sisters in law, and friends, you could say I have many women in my family. As a result, I have been to lots of different baby showers. But the one I went to recently stands out as absolutely brilliant and gorgeous.
They made something very special when they decided to use brand new ideas for baby showers. For example, while they brought gifts for the baby, they also brought gifts just for the mother. I thought this was pretty special, as the mother got some well deserved pampering!
One of their greatest ideas for baby showers was to make individual tiny cakes for each guest rather than one large cake. They turned this into a game as well by baking a plastic baby right into the cake. Whoever found the baby got a prize!
This made things a little more interesting, and they used several different designs for the cakes. But how they decorated remains one of my favorite things about the baby shower. You see, the mother decided not to find out what whether baby was a boy or girl, so they couldn't decorate with the typical pinks or blues.
Their entire room had cute little sayings like, "Mommy's Little Princess or Daddy's Little Quarterback?" There were a bunch of beautiful posters printed out with sayings like that. They even featured princess crowns and footballs!
